In this lesson we will learn about Future Indefinite Tense. Basically future indefinite tense is known as future tense. In this tense we will learn about those action that will take place in the coming time or in the future. We used ‘shall’ and ‘will’ in future tense.
Uses of ‘shall’ or ‘will’
Now let’s discuss the places where we use ‘shall’ or ‘will’. Here, “will” is used with the second and third person singular/plural numbers (he, she, it, you, they, John, girls, etc.) as well as with other all subjects. “Shall” is used with the first person singular/plural number (I, we). ‘Will’, however, is not used in interrogative phrases; instead, it is combined with first-person (I, we) in affirmative and negative statements in which there is an expression of choices and faith. What is Future Indefinite Tense?
Future Indefinite Tense is defined as the action that will take place in the coming time or in the future. So, these action is known as Future Indefinite Tense.
Structures :
Subject + shall/will + 1st form of verb+ other words
For Example:
- I shall return soon.
- I shall write a letter to my cousin.
- I shall try my best for the tomorrow test.
- We will play cricket next Sunday.
- She will go to mall tomorrow.
- It will rain tomorrow.
- I will call you tomorrow.
- He will bake a cake for the birthday.
- We will travel to China next Week.
- He will finish his project by tomorrow night.
Structure of Future Indefinite Tense with all forms of sentences:
1. Affirmative sentence:
In the affirmative sentence of future indefinite tense, ‘shall‘ and ‘will‘ are used, followed by the first form of the verb.
Structures :
Subject + shall/will + 1st form of verb + other words
Examples:
Sentences starts with ‘Shall’
- I shall pick you up at 9 PM.
- I shall tell you a story.
- I shall write a letter to my Cousin.
- You shall learn how to play snooker.
- I shall bring my favorite book.
- We shall visit the new market.
Sentences starts with ‘Will’
- He will join us for dinner.
- We will go to the zoo.
- She will ride her bike.
- My brother will bake cake.
- He will read a story to the kids.
- We will go camping this summer.
- She will buy a new bike.
- You will learn new words.
- The team will practice after study.
- They will visit the park.
- My mom will make bread for breakfast.
- They will go shopping tomorrow night.
- We will definitely win the match.
- We will sleep in the yard.

2.Negative sentence:
In the negative sentence of future indefinite tense, ‘not‘ is used after ‘shall‘ or ‘will‘ followed by the first form of the verb.
Structures :
Subject + shall/will + not + 1st form of verb + other words
Examples:

- I shall not attend the marriage.
- I shall not go for study.
- They shall not swim today.
- They shall not visit grandmother.
- I shall not bake the cake.
- We shall not bake the cake.

- He will not eat dinner.

- She will not finish her homework.
- The dog will not jump.
- They will not have a paper tomorrow.

3.Interrogative sentence:
In the interrogative sentence of future indefinite tense, ‘shall/will’ is used before the subject.
Structures :
Shall/will + subject + 1st form of verb + other words
Examples:

- Shall we eat snacks now?
- Shall I get some milk?
- Shall they play a game?
